After being named finalists for The Drum’s 2016 MOMAs (Marketing on Mobile Awards), the Future Platforms team returned from last night’s ceremony as proud winners of the prestigious Chairman’s Award, in addition to earning formal commendation in the Best Mobile/Tablet Customer-Facing app category. We attended the event with our client, Domino’s Pizza, in celebration of the 10 years of collaborative work that we have enjoyed together.
The night began with success in the Best Mobile/Tablet Customer-Facing app category, which aims to recognise the mobile solutions best demonstrating consumer engagement in the b2c marketplace. In a 9-strong field that included impressive entries from DigitasLBi, OMD, Hi Mum! Said Dad, and Somo, Future Platforms came an honourable second to winners DigitasLBi, becoming the only agency to pick up a formal commendation.
Following success in the Customer-Facing category, we were then handed one of the most prestigious accolades of the night, taking home the coveted Chairman’s Award. Chosen by Alex Kozloff, Chair of the judging panel and Director of Marketing and Industry Engagement at the Internet Advertising Bureau, the prize is a non-entered category chosen as the Chairman’s personal favourite. Commenting on her choice, Kozloff had the following to say:
Despite recent increased competition in the food and drink delivery sector from new entrants to the market, this company has established itself as the one to beat in its category. As one of the most downloaded apps across both Google Play and iTunes, it’s proof that when done right, mobile can add millions of pounds a week to an organisation’s bottom line.
Both Future Platforms and Domino’s Pizza are delighted to have achieved great success on mobile over the past 10 years, and are incredibly proud to be recognised by The Drum accordingly. Commenting on the results, Future Platforms Managing Director, Adam Croxen, said the following:
