Our award-winning Domino's Pizza app for iOS

We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome the news that our client, Domino’s Pizza, has enjoyed another stellar year of financial results, underpinned by the increasing success of our jointly pursued mobile and digital strategy.

Having seen post-tax profits rise 20% to £59.3 million in 2015, and system sales grow by 15.8% to £877.2 million, the company acknowledges the vital and increasing role that mobile and digital is playing in its achievements. E-commerce now accounts for 77.8% of all delivered sales, with the Domino’s Pizza apps now facilitating over half of those orders. The apps, which have been downloaded almost 12 million times in the UK, help to generate an average of £6.5 million in sales every single week.

Digital continues to be at the heart of our business, driving more customers and a higher frequency of orders.

Domino’s Pizza Group CEO, David Wild

We’ve been working with the pizza delivery giants for over a decade, and in 2012 built brand-new mobile apps for iOS, Android and Windows Phone. We’ve since added native versions for iPad, Windows Tablets and Desktops, Xbox One, and most recently Apple Watch, a portfolio that alongside sales numbers has helped Domino’s Pizza to establish a market-leading digital and e-commerce strategy.

11.7m downloads, £6.5m sales per week

The superb results for the year of 2015 have showed no sign of slowing down either, with 2016’s like-for-like UK sales up by 10.5% Commenting on the results, Domino’s Pizza Group CEO, David Wild, had the following to say:

2015 was a terrific year for Domino’s Pizza Group; the UK performance was outstanding, reflecting continued investment in our e-commerce platform. This underpins both our like-for-like results and the success of our new store programme. Digital continues to be at the heart of our business, driving more customers and a higher frequency of orders. I would like to thank the DPG team for their hard work. I also want to pay tribute to our franchisees whose tireless endeavours ensure that our customers continue to enjoy great pizzas at great prices every day – whether ordered online or by phone, delivered to the door or collected in store.
