A bespoke range of sites, with a single, global booking engine.

The De Vere Group is one the UK’s most prestigious hospitality brands, with an array of venues and hotels with a distinctly modern, British flavour. The group’s 65 locations across the UK are divided into different brands, posing an interesting problem to solve with their online presence.

De Vere came to us wanting to more clearly define their digital strategy across their various brands. Their website originally showcased all the company’s offerings and sub-brands on one site but as their online channel evolved it became clear that they needed their online presence to reflect their various sub-brands; classic hotels, family-friendly resorts, business-orientated venues and luxury-driven lodges.

We responded by implementing a multi-million pound upgrade to their online services; with individual sites for each brand represented. Central to this was the design and building of a central booking engine. This booking engine, built with Flash and Google-mapping functionality, was designed to make it easy for customers to book within the group and add extras such as a game of golf or a spa treatment to their order. The logic of a central booking system means that it is simple to manage from a back-end perspective while the core structure can be applied globally as their business expands.


Five star hotel Cameron House in the De Vere group commissioned Vexed to create a distinctive and luxurious website for the exclusive Scottish getaway.

Vexed designed a high-end site that is easy to navigate and easy to update by Cameron House staff, adopting a template that is simple yet looks stylish and brand relevant. Focusing on luscious photography of the hotel and ground we created a site that showcases the location’s ample beauty and create an immersive, glossy experience for site visitors, enticing one to visit the real thing.
