  • ANDROID DEVELOPER

    We're currently looking for Android developer to enrich their skills via and grow as part of a team in the heart of digital innovation.

    We are delighted to announce the opportunity for someone who is passionate about software development on digital platforms and mobile technology to join our team.

    You will be responsible for implementing new features in any of our client apps, liaising with our UX team to bring app designs to life and working closely with QA staff to reproduce and fix bugs.

    You should be an excellent team member whilst also showing resourcefulness and the ability to work through challenging problems. It will be your responsibility to complete work of a high standard in a time sensitive environment.

    We’ll want to hear all about what issues you’ve faced in the apps you’ve built, and how you learnt from them.

    Responsibilities

    • Using an Agile workflow
    • Discussing intended technical approaches for upcoming work with the team and involving the team in collaboration sessions
    • Actively participating in development meetings
    • Liaising with the technical lead to identify and work through problems
    • Following company user guides and documentation and updating as necessary
    • Improving processes and keeping up to date with Android and technology

    Ideal experience

    • Solid experience with Android/Java/Kotlin
    • A good understanding of software tools
    • Know your way around a Linux terminal (but advanced bash scripting skills are most welcome)
    • Implementing complex user interfaces and navigation flows
    • Have experienced the full app lifecycle, from initial implementation through to debugging the live apps in the field, ideally several times over
    • Experience with:

    - Git

    - Continuous Integration Systems (e.g. Jenkins, CruiseControl)

    - Project build tools

    - SQLite

    - Espresso

    • HTML, JavaScript and CSS knowledge
    • Knowledge of other programming languages will be beneficial

  • SENIOR QA ENGINEER

    We're currently looking for someone to join our growing business as a Senior QA Engineer to enrich their skills via and grow as part of a team in the heart of digital innovation.

    You will have worked in software development or digital marketing for a several years as part of a QA team. You will have skills in using test tools. Understanding of automation testing will be beneficial.

    Working alongside the mobile development team, you will be helping to reproduce and debug issues raised. You’ll have an opportunity to impact on important decisions around the quality of our products.

    • Executing tests, both planned and exploratory
    • Performing regression tests for new and old products
    • Logging bugs that effectively communicate issues and their impact
    • Helping developers to reproduce and debug issues raised
    • Interacting with the team
    • Writing test reports for internal and external use

    Ideal experience

    • Extensive experience working as a QA Engineer
    • An understanding of the requirements and challenges of testing
    • Background in native app testing is a must
    • Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments
    • API testing
    • Knowledge of proxy tools
    • Writing test plans, test cases
    • Good understanding of various tools and how best to utilise them
    • Automation testing is a plus

    • Working with the development team, answering questions and providing input to the development process
    • Ensuring that the solution implemented meets the customer requirements

    Ideal experience

    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with technical and non-technical audiences
    • Proven ability to work with in-house development teams
    • Strong Solutions Architect background in enterprise web and mobile app solutions, ideally with experience in e-commerce
    • Excellent technical knowledge including a proven ability to define solutions and work with development teams to implement them
    • Previous development experience
    • Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and how to avoid them
    • Enthusiasm for technology and a working knowledge of the latest developments in software engineering

    You will have worked in software development for a few years as part of a development team.

    Taking ownership of a specific projects, you will take on maintaining and developing it into a full system, including helping with rollout and ongoing support. You may also be asked to assist on other projects in the business, and future projects for other clients.

    Ideal experience

    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an engineering role
    • An in-depth knowledge of the C# language, .NET SDK and commonly used third-party libraries
    • Good knowledge in web technologies – HTML, CSS and JavaScript
    • Exposure to mobile technologies (native and hybrid), platforms, and tools
    • Experience in object-oriented programming and design patterns
    • Ability and desire to write, develop and implement automated test cases and test suites
    • Demonstrable experience in building high-volume, scalable, multi-tiered systems
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
    • Good communication skills
    • Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS and SignaIR would be advantageous
    • Experience with performance testing is desired

  • PROJECT MANAGER

    We're currently looking for Project Manager to be part of some of our most exciting projects.

    This is a key role for the agency in improving existing delivery processes and be crucial part of the growing team. You’ll motivate and inspire the technical and creative teams to do their best work.

    You will have proven project management experience and be adept at managing a variety of concurrent projects on various online platforms, including mobile. You will be monitoring and driving commercial profitability of different projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and to budget. You will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting project progress to key internal and client stakeholders, including weekly status reports, monthly client meetings and more.

    You will be managing strategy, UX/UI, development and QA teams, motivating and inspiring them to do their best work. Reporting to the Project Director you will also guarantee excellent service to our clients.

    Responsibilities

    • Day to day responsibility for managing projects and team productivity
    • Monitor and report project progress to key stakeholders
    • Monitor and drive commercial profitability of projects
    • Development of project delivery plans, using Agile and Waterfall project methodology for delivery of technical build
    • Resource planning for live and future projects
    • Work with QA teams to ensure high quality assurance
    • Use JIRA for project reporting, Agile boards and project management tools including timesheet analysis
    • Manage 3rd parties within given boundaries e.g. quality, commercials, scope

    Ideal experience

    • Extensive Project Management experience, managing project budgets of £100K or more
    • Proven delivery of digital projects on time and on budget
    • Knowledge of the different project and programme management methodologies (E.g. Waterfall, Lean and Agile)
    • Experience with and good knowledge of technical concepts and solutions across web and mobile
    • Proven agency experience working across a range of clients and projects simultaneously
    • Good knowledge of the mobile landscape

    We're currently looking for an exceptional Marketing Manager to join our company.

    Having tripled in size over  he last four years, Future Platforms has experienced significant growth and success.     This role will help to define and be responsible for delivering our marketing strategy. The successful candidate will  have several key duties that include:

    • Creating engaging, intelligent and concise content for our marketing channels
    • Defining and managing our content calendar, along with running the logistics of our events
    • Establishing and managing our marketing automation tools
    • Utilising copywriter skills to create and review client work and proposals

    • Manage and update our website (for content and lead capture)
    • Conduct research (internal interviews/desk research) about digital content topics -> be an external voice of the business
    • Identify and explore optimal new ways to reach our target audience for new business
    • Manage analytics and establish benchmarks for our performance across web, social and email/newsletter
    • Establish and manage our marketing automation approach to nurture leads
    • Develop and run Google AdWords/LinkedIn campaigns
    • Provide copywriting review of client proposals or create copy for client projects
    • Providing succinct reports and performance updates internally

    Ideal experience

    • Fantastic written skills and attention to detail
