Roulette Cricket is a sports gambling product, which ties into live ball-by-ball feeds of cricket games and lets players bet along with the game. The app includes “play for fun” betting, animation, feeds of cricket commentary and scores, and league tables of players.
We led a concepting workshop, designed and developed the product, working with an existing partner of Roulette Cricket who delivered the back-end and collaborating on the communications aspects of the product. We then worked in close collaboration with the Roulette Cricket team to design and build their iPhone app, reviewing it every two weeks and making significant shifts in direction as we went along, in true agile fashion.
The result was a polished product that got featured in the App store, was voted “Most innovative new app 2010” at Mobile App World and was a EUR50,000 winner of the Vodafone Mobile Clicks competition to find the most promising mobile startup in Europe.
Roulette Cricket has now more than a quarter of a million players and receives up to 36,000 bets per game.
